This affiliate disclosure explains how TruckNestGear (https://trucknestgear.com) makes money and why that never decides which truck bed tent we recommend. I’m Yousaf Khan, I run the site, and I’d rather you know exactly how it works before you click a single product link.
How Affiliate Links Work Here
Many product links on TruckNestGear go to Amazon.com. These are affiliate links: they carry a code that tells Amazon the visit came from us. They appear on product names, buttons and “check the listing” links in our guides and reviews, and every one of them leads to an Amazon product page.
- You clickA product link in one of our truck bed tent or rooftop tent guides.
- Amazon opensYou land on the product page on Amazon.com, in a new tab.
- You decideYou buy, or you don’t. There is no obligation either way.
- Amazon pays usIf you complete a qualifying purchase, Amazon pays us a small commission.
You never pay more. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly. The commission comes out of Amazon’s side, not yours.
What We Earn and What It Never Changes
Commissions are what keep this site free to read and pay for the hours of research behind every guide. They are a small percentage set by Amazon, and they are never allowed to steer a recommendation.
What commissions pay for
- Researching manufacturer spec sheets and bed-size fitment for each truck we cover
- Reading owner reports so guides reflect how tents hold up in real weather
- Keeping guides current as tents are updated, renamed or discontinued
- Running the site with no paywall and no sign-up
What commissions never change
- Which truck bed tent or rooftop tent ranks first
- Whether a tent is recommended for your bed length (5.5 ft, 6.5 ft or 8 ft)
- The limitations and owner complaints we report
- Our advice when a cheaper tent is the better fit
